The Visual Transillumination system provides an integrated solution to detect nucleic acid while electrophoresis is still running. It includes a transilluminator table, a camera and a dedicated software. Thus, loading, electrophoresis and detection can be performed at a same location preventing excessive gel manipulation.
The visible light source excites fluorophors within a wavelength range that includes many popular dyes (fluorescein, SYBR Green, SYBR Gold, ethidium bromide, and GelStar).
The camera and the software allow qualitative and quantitative analysis of the samples.
